I resonate with a philosophy I found years ago in The Nia Technique book under the self-healing section “…many small acts of self-kindness guided by pleasure add up to the greatest change.” I have found this philosophy encourages patience, and allows me to let the outcome of my dreams unfold in their own way and most importantly their own timing!

To you & your self-care based goals setting methods, Julie

Self-Care: GOALS

Daily choice/action: Set a goal, write it down, and release the outcome ~ Small steps make a big difference.

Nia Move: Undulation

Daily practice: Standing with feet hip width apart, undulate, or wave your spine. Begin the wave at the top of your spine progressing vertebrae by vertebrae to the bottom of your spine. Repeat beginning the wave at the bottom of your spine moving up. Imagine your spine as an arm. In your mind’s eye see and sense the spaces between each vertebrae. This mental focus will help move neuromuscular energy and move chi along your back. To make your undulation smooth, say the word “Yessssssss.” Practicing undulation will release tension in the back and bring power to the core.
