“A cheerful frame of mind, reinforced by relaxation… is the medicine that puts all ghosts of fear on the run.” George Matthew Adamsth-4

Self-Care: RELAXATION

Daily choice/action: Allow yourself to be lazy. It’s okay to “do” nothing.

Inspired by: Cheryl Richardson Self-Care Cards

I bristled at today’s self-care suggestion. Well, not at the suggestion but the wording: It’s okay to “do” nothing. It welled up a resistance in me as the word okay repeated itself again and again with an ever increasing air of sarcasm. Curious to see what the day holds … perhaps it’s more about not rushing for me today. Regards, Julie

Nia Move: Touching

Daily practice: Use your hands to touch the things around you. Touch your own skin. Touch space. Practicing Touching is excellent training for increasing your Sensory IQ and for improving body awareness. Touch is the act and the art of transmitting non-verbal information and receiving physical information from your environment. It can also help self-heal physical trauma and naturally guide the body into relaxation. Connect and move energy.
